Hello all,
This may or may not apply to you - but If you do own property that was damaged in December’s floods, I hope you will consider filling out this survey. I expect that they are making determinations about how much funding to allocate to certain types of relief and repair.

Please forward to anyone else you know who should be made aware.
All my best,
Maressa

Survey of Need: Housing or facilities impacted by the December 2025 atmospheric river and weather event

Survey responses are accepted until July 31

The Washington State Legislature appropriated funding via the 2026 Supplemental Capital Budget for the rehabilitation or replacement of housing or facilities impacted by the December 2025 weather events described in the Governor's Emergency Proclamation 25-07.

The Washington State Department of Commerce is seeking information from property owners to determine the extent and nature of the assistance needed.

This funding may be used to rehabilitate or replace housing or facilities that are:

  1. Facilities housing low-income migrant, seasonal, or temporary farmworkers
  2. Affordable multifamily rental housing, or
  3. Affordable manufactured or mobile home communities.

Funding for affordable manufactured or mobile home communities is being administered directly by the Washington State Department of Commerce, and not by any other organizations, such as Northwest Cooperative Development Center/ROC Northwest.

If you own or manage an eligible property that experienced damage as a result of the December 2025 weather events, please complete the following survey by 11:45 p.m. Pacific Time on July 31. After reviewing your responses, we’ll determine how to best make this funding available and announce how to apply for it.

Questions?

If you have questions about this survey or the related proviso, please email HTFR...@commerce.wa.gov.

  1. Viviendas o instalaciones que alojan a trabajadores agrícolas migrantes, temporales o estacionales de bajos ingresos;
  1. Viviendas multifamiliares de alquiler a precio accesible; o
