AUGUST GRAND PRIX III
TUESDAY, AUGUST 15, FOR 2nd-12th GRADES

The August Grand Prix takes place on all five Tuesdays in August. Play in one, or play in all five. The top ten players who rack up the most wins in all five tourneys will earn the trophy and book prizes.
At each tourney, you're placed in a section of 4 to 8 players of similar rating. Three rounds, no elimination sections at each Grand Prix tourney. For 2nd through 12th grade players. Beginners welcome. Play in one or more. Advance entry required, and must check in before 4:40pm on tourney day.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR
Schools are planning for the upcoming school year, and some dates have been announced for Elementary State Qualifying tournaments! Players from K to 8th grade can play. Not locked in, but probable, so mark your calendar:
December 2, 2023: Franklin Academy Fall State Qualifier
February 24, 2024: Custer Elementary Tourney
March 23, 2024: Franklin Academy Spring State Qualifier
Also, the Wade King tourney will return, as will the Cascadia tourney. If your school would like to organize a chess tournament, contact me. Looking forward!
