2025 NATIONAL K-12 GRADE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS

How often does a national championship come to the Pacific Northwest?  About once every twenty years!  And the time is Now.  Playrs are coming from all over the USA. This event is huge (1205 players registered already as of today) and players get a national chess rating.  Meet a grandmaster!  Play in the blitz tourney!  Or the bughouse tourney!  Here's the blurb emailed to me by our good friend Josh Sinanan, president of the Washington Chess Federation:

Dear chessplayers,

You are cordially invited to play in the upcoming 2025 National K-12 Grade Chess Championships, set to take place Thursday - Sunday, December 11-14 in Spokane, WA! The tournament is organized by the US Chess Federation and will be hosted at the fantastic Spokane Convention Center. It is open to all US students in grades K-12 as of the 2025-2026 school year. Fun side events include Bughouse, National Puzzle-Solving Championship, K-12 Blitz tournament, Grandmaster simuls, and more!
