ALPHA MEET
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3
AT LYNDEN CHRISTIAN COMMONSThe Northwest High School Chess League begins its season annually with two pre-season warmup tournaments, open to all 6th-12th graders. Three rounds, no elimination, free, beginners welcome, players are put in 4 to 8 person sections with players of similar rating. Medals for those who score three wins, NWChess magazine for 2.5 wins. TIme control is Game/25 with 5 delay. Notation required.
TO PLAY: Most high schoolers will be registered by their club advisor. For high schoolers without a club, and all middle schoolers, register using
this form before 1:00pm Monday Nov. 3. All players must check-in on site no later than 5:50pm Monday to play. Do

You are cordially invited to play in the upcoming 2025 National K-12 Grade Chess Championships, set to take place Thursday - Sunday, December 11-14 in Spokane, WA! The tournament is organized by the US Chess Federation and will be hosted at the fantastic Spokane Convention Center. It is open to all US students in grades K-12 as of the 2025-2026 school year. Fun side events include Bughouse, National Puzzle-Solving Championship, K-12 Blitz tournament, Grandmaster simuls, and more!
Register by November 17 before the next price increase and book your hotel room by November 14 to lock in the chess rate.
