Dear Wharton Food Club members,

The Wharton Food Club and Wharton Travel & Hospitality Club have teamed up to bring you the NYC Restaurant Trek on Friday, February 28 in New York City! A small group of MBA students will have the opportunity to meet with business leaders and restaurant managers from NYC’s hottest restaurant groups. The trek features corporate leadership presentations, informal discussions with restaurant managers, and behind-the-scenes tours with:

·         Per Se

·         Momofuku

·         Blue Bottle Coffee

·         Bouchon Bakery

·         More to be announced soon!

Date & Time: Friday, February 28, 9AM – 6PM (optional dinner and drinks ~6-9PM)

Location: New York City

Transportation: Students are responsible for getting to/from NYC on their own.

Cost: All participants will be required to submit a $200 “placeholder deposit” check to confirm their spots on the trek. This check will be returned to you if you (a) show up on time for the trek and attend all company visits, or (b) cancel no later than Friday, February 21 in order to yield your spot to a student on the waiting list. Incidental costs are unlikely to run above $50, and will be at least partially subsidized by the clubs. We will confirm these costs once the schedule has been fully finalized.

Participants: This trek is open to all first- and second-year Wharton MBA students or partners who are members of the Travel & Hospitality and/or Food clubs.

Application Process
Monday, February 10: Complete your application here before midnight February 10.
Thursday, February 13: Everyone will be notified of their status by email.
Monday, February 17: All participants will be required to submit $200 checks to confirm their spots on the trek. See above for our policy regarding placeholder checks.
