Reminder: Avance and Oysters (2/19) For those of you that signed up for either the Avance dinner or the Oyster Buck-a-Shuck (or BOTH), we wanted to make sure you had your calendar set for Wednesday. For those buck-a-shucking with us at Doc Magrogan's, we've continued negotiating to sweeten the deal for you. In addition to stuffing your face with the 5-6 varieties of oysters that we've selected and buying your first drink (make sure to get a ticket from us), there is also some special pricing for other drinks during the event. $3 gets you your choice of two different draft beersm $4 for house wine, or $5 well-drinks. So, get ready to get your slurp on!

Student Chef Course Sign-ups! Student Chef Classes are just around the corner, and we are kicking things off with a signup on Tuesday, February 18th at 8pm for a Homemade Mozzarella class with the owner's of Matt & Marie's! To minimize conflcits, we'll be opening up each event about 2 weeks beforehand and putting a sign-up reminder in that week's Club newsletter. However, for your planning purposes, the full schedule is listed below. We ask that you only plan to sign-up for one class to give everyone an opportunity to attend. These cooking courses will be FREE, however note that you will be required to pay a $10 deposit to register for the event, but this will be refunded to you when you attend (just to provide disincentive for no-showing). Thanks to our members for offering to host the following classes: 1. Homemade Mozzarella – Nicole Capp and Justin Sapolsky – 3/3 at 6pm (sign up here) 2. Homemade Pasta – Jake Whalen – 3/22 at 6pm 3. Run Food Club....We Want You (well, some of you)! First years, its the moment you've been waiting for. With Vitamin C's graduation song playing in the background, the 2nd years are about to leave and make you the top chefs on campus. That said, we've heard your stomachs growling for MORE, a sweeter, meatier, richer, juicer Food Club. While day one, we introduced you to Grandma Smolenski's Golden Rule -- "No Whining!" - now its your turn to run this show and chose the courses.
If you want to run, then please assemble an executive board of 4 people by Saturday, March 1st at 11:59pm. Submit to us your names, and no more then 750 words telling us about who you are, why you should run Food Club, and want plans you have for next year to ensure the club continues to sizzle!

Student Chef Dinner Reimbursements and Cookbook Thanks to all the chefs who have already hosted dinners. Now, its time to get PAID. Fill out the reimbursement form attached, along with copies of your original receipts (yes, you do need them) and send the pdf to Lilly. Remember that we can reimburse you to up to $10pp. And remember, we are assembling the first ever Wharton Cookbook with receipts from your favorite student chefs dinners. We've got some mouth-watering submissions already, but let's beef this book up by nominating your favorite dish from this semester's dinners to be included in the cookbook using this Google form or be brave and fill out the attachment and submit it to Hee-won directly. Then, we'll reach out to them anonymously and beg them for their secret recipe...

Follies Auction Our
friends at Follies are putting on an auction
to raise money to support To help, in addition to some cool items, Food Club is auctioning off a dinner (worth up to $200) for 4 people which will be cooked by the current Presidents of Food Club. We'll customize a menu just for you that will make yo momma jealous! Disclaimer: Our support of the show does not mean we are immune from their torment. However, if you (the writers) are reading this, is one less embarassing Azita pic too much to ask?
Thanks, The Wharton Food Club
