Hi All-

I am pleased to participate in this group. I hope that it is possible to produce a viable piece of research software. I do want to point out, however, t6hat while in the field for our winter season, I do not have access to a PC. We are a Mac based group--as are most other Hawaii researchers.  Consequently, I cannot be an active tester until May/June. However, I will be mostinterested in following the discussions.

At present I think the only way to be able to run the software on a mac would be through something like Parallels.  In the longer term I would like to start using Mono, which has much greater cross platform support.
