Info from the Whaler Front Desk, Todd Capizzo:

The phone lines at The Whaler are still down due to yesterday’s fire. Tickets have been submitted, and the issue is being worked on. In the meantime, if anyone needs assistance, they should email the party they’re trying to reach directly. Alternatively, they can text or contact me at 808-280-2931.

I will check to see if Mila has a cell that she can be reached at.

Aloha Everyone,

Due to the fire yesterday, The Whaler is unable to receive or make outside calls.  A ticket was submitted yesterday, and we have followed up today, but there is no ETA yet on this being completed. Other businesses are also effected and Hawaiian Tel is working on restoring service.

Hi Chris,

Should the AOAO send this out to all owners with email addresses? My understanding is that this Google group consists of some owners, not all current, non-owners and various others.  

I'm copying the AOAO email address provided in your post.

Perhaps a phone tree to call owners who do not have an email on file, to be made aware of the communications event?

Thank you!  We found out about the fire last night

from a website I follow named “Maui Lovers.”  They shared photos, videos, and information.

We have checked in to our Whaler studio 618 &

found ourselves unable to contact the Front Desk.

Mahalo for offering to assist in case of emergency.

Hopefully this will not be necessary, but thank

you for your offer!

We called our current Management Company, &

even though this fire burned UP TO THE SIDE OF

THEIR BUILDING, they are in contact with the guests currently in our studio, & they will continue to do so.
