Whatcom All-ages Arts and Music (WhAAM) Announces New Location, October Concert Calendar

Whatcom All-ages Arts & Music (WhAAM) is pleased to present four concerts in October of 2011. All of the shows are all-ages and will take place downtown at 306 Flora Street, in the Jinx space.

October 3, 2011 (Bellingham, WA) -- Whatcom All-ages Arts & Music (WhAAM) is excited to announce that they have signed a lease with Make.Shift, allowing the organization to move into their new home, located in the Jinx building at 306 Flora St. Part of the basement of Jinx will be used as a music venue and WhAAM will also have its administrative office located in the building.

"WhAAM is thrilled to be operating again, providing safe, affordable, all-ages music in downtown Bellingham. We are grateful for the ongoing encouragement we’ve received during our search for a new home, and look forward to all the opportunities possible at Jinx. Make.Shift has been a tireless ally in this process and we are eternally grateful to them," said WhAAM President Amanda Kalkwarf. "Experiencing live music can often be a saving grace in a young person’s life. Not only does it expose them to creative energies and opportunities, but it can also provide a sense of belonging that encourages them to become active community members. For many, music is a light in the darkness; we promise to keep it burning bright."

Each of shows in October costs $5 with the doors opening at 7:30, shows starting at 8:00PM.

The shows:

Thursday, October 13

Big Kids, Jason Clackley and the Exquisites, So Adult, Livingston Seagull

Saturday, October 22

Saturday, October 29
