You Are Invited to be a Part of WhAAM!

What: 2011 WhAAM Board elections and Annual General Meeting of Whatcom All-ages Arts & Music, aka The State of the WhAAM!

When: Saturday, April 30 at 2 p.m. — Snacks and beverages provided

Where: The Downtown Bellingham Community Food Co-op’s Connection Building, 1220 North Forest St, Bellingham, WA, 98225 (on the south side of the Co-op parking lot on the corner of N. Forest and Chestnut – just make sure you park somewhere other than the Co-op parking lot if you drive).

What Does the Board Do? Our Board of Directors is the governing group that helps direct WhAAM's overall vision. The Board is responsible for overall policy and oversight, and delegates responsibility of day-to-day operations to the staff and committees. The Board Members are strongly encouraged to further WhAAM’s mission between meetings through fundraising, networking, and community involvement.

Why Hold Elections? Our bylaws require that we hold board elections once a year, and we are overdue. It's a great way to reinvigorate WhAAM.

Open Positions: President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and general Director positions.

Why Get Involved?  WhAAM is an established and financially sound organization with great room to expand our programming and grow within the community. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who can bring creativity and renewed energy to our Board of Directors in the coming year, in which we aim to re-activate ourselves as a vital resource for area youth.

More Info: Our website is still undergoing renovation, but Board applications are available at www.whaam.org. Please print out, fill out, and bring the application with you to the meeting.

WhAAM’s Mission: To unite Whatcom County’s youth and community through a vibrant, healthy, safe, and sustainable all-ages music and arts venue.
