Drink.Shift: A Benefit for Make.Shift and WhAAM
Temple Bar Hosts Fundraiser For Local Non-Profits to Rebuild New Music Venue For Musicians
Bellingham, WA (January 5, 2011) -- On Wednesday, January 12, The Temple Bar will be hosting “Drink.Shift: A Benefit for Make.Shift and WhAAM” from 7pm until close at the Temple Bar.
This Temple Bar event will be the first in a series of Drink.Shift nights at various Bellingham bars. Drink.Shift is a fundraiser for the musical power couple, Make.Shift and WhAAM (Whatcom All-ages Arts and Music). The two non-profits have come together to build a more supportive, safe, and environmentally friendly community for local, independent musicians of all ages.
The goal of Drink.Shift is to raise money to renovate their new space at 111 Unity St. After raising enough money, this space will become an all-ages arts and music hub for all-ages concerts, affordable band practice space, a local art gallery and music resource library. To complete this project, they will need to raise at least $10,000. They have started the fundraising though online donation programs like Kickstarter and events like Drink.Shift.
