DNA Results

Several weeks ago, I completed the DNA Heritage test and forwarded the
results to Robert Earl Burke. Although they have not yet been posted
to the Womack DNA web page, the results show that Joel W. Womack,
<born in Georgia, married Sarah Ann Matthews in Stewart County,
Georgia, relocated to Tallapoosa County, Alabama abot 1843>, was the
son of Bird Womack and therefore the brother of Thomas J, John B.,
George W., and Henry W.

Don Womack's line runs to the Thomas J. listed above and he has posted
an excellent geneaolgy piece on his blog. For those of you who may be
from this line, I have posted a comprehensive webpage showing the
derscendants of Joel W. Womack. Of course, the ancestry of Thomas J
and Joel W. are the same and Don's blog shows that lineage. The
