Hey Everyone,

I am bring everyone some really sad news....just a few days ago, Libby Young Jones '76 lost her husband, Richard

very unexpectedly to MRSA. Richard was in the hospital for several days, and was just unable to pull thru. Many of you will recall that Libby was a cheerleader at WGHS, very outgoing, and was friends to so many. This unexpected loss has got to hit hard for her and her family.

While Richard was in the hospital, a fund was started to help Libby with food, gas, and bills. The list thru facebook is not quite as long as our email list....so when I was asked to help get word out to more folks, I was happy to try and help. Several of Libby's friends are trying to add to this fund to help Libby makes ends meet, she might decide to donate it all in Richard's memory....this will be left up to her. What we would like to do is to get this information in your hands, and then you consider what you might do. Libby will not know about this until the money is given to her, so we prefer that nothing is mentioned to her about a collection.

Thank you Cynthia, I  know Libby is extremely sad. Richard's death was unexpected and it happened so quickly.

Hey Liz,

Did the request to our classmates get anyone else that cared to be a part of thing for Libby? 

Just was curious (more than anything) to see if anyone felt the need to participate.

No, I do think people have reached out to her on their own. I feel Renita Brendle did. I did give her the $385.00 that was collected when I reach out to the people that seemed to correspond with her on Facebook. The first group and signed the names on the card for the ones that couldn't make it to the Village Tavern on that Wednesday.
