Plans accelerate for 2011 Pre-Worlds

Work is well underway for staging what will be the first step towards
hosting the 2012 World Gliding Championships in Uvalde, Texas. The Pre-
World Contest will be a US “Super Regional” held early in August
2011. It will give international competitors the opportunity to size
up Texas conditions and organizers a chance to get ready for the big
event in 2012. The 2011 Pre-Worlds will be held as a Super Regionals
along with the US Open Class Nationals. The dates for this event are
August 4 - 5 Practice, August 6 - 14 competition.
