WGC Met Office - Data Sources and IT Support - Reno SSA Presentation

Dan Gudgel, Chief Meteorologist and Walter Rogers, Assistant Met for
WGC 2012, delivered presentations at the SSA National Convention last
Sat Feb 4, 2012. Our intention here is to give you a preview of what
to expect for weather support. Here is Walt Rogers' 25 minute

As the Tech support and IT guy for the Met group, my plans are to work
with the WGC webmaster to upload a subset of Satellite, Radar, Model
Forecasts and other graphics daily to the WGC 2012 web site. Plans are
to build animation loops of key graphics for each contest day allowing
easy comparison of weather trends.

Graphics will be based primarily on the NOAA (U.S. National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration) publicly available web sites. Real
time data will be linked directly from the WGC web site as well. Here

These are Firefox html bookmarks that can be imported into your
browser. The program “Linkman” (free version) can import the URLs and
then export them to a number of other browser favorites or bookmarks.
