Hey WGMR (aka: LGBT) riders,

This Friday is the Amgen Tour TT that finishes up at the top of Metcalf Rd. Pat Brahney (long time riding buddy) and I’ve been planning on pre-riding the course then cheering the Pro’s on as they hammer up Metcalf to the finish. It should be exciting.

Pat met this guy over the weekend who suggested we join their 50 mile pre ride (details below). He said there expecting a huge crowd to show and join this pre-ride pack. You’ll notice Freddie Rodriquez aka: FastFreddie a former Pro will be leading the pre-ride.

It sounds like a good fun day plus a good pre-ride of the course……

Let us know if you’re interested & we’ll hook up at the start.

Tour of California TT Pre-Ride with Fast Freddie!

Join Fast Freddie and Zaavy for a Tour of California San Jose TT pre-ride 9:30 in San Jose! We’ll cruise 50 miles around our South Bay Roads including the Tour of California TT course.

Start: Assemble in Zaavy parking lot, 6280 San Ignacio Avenue, San Jose.

Time: 9:30 assembly, 9:45 roll out

Route: 50 Miles, 3000 feet vertical. Rough Route – Tour of California TT Course with extensions to Morgan Hill and past the finish of the TT course at the top of Metcalf Road continuing onto San Felipe and returning by Silver Creek Road. Route subject to modification.

Regroups: Top of Cinnabar Hill, Top of Metcalf, 5 minute wait times.

Specials: OSMO Nutrition is providing hydration products! Let Zaavy know you are attending and Zaavy will have some famous South Valley Tri-Tip sandwiches waiting for you after we finish!

Notes:

This is an informal ride and not a race. It is intended to be a great way to start off a day racing festivities at the Tour of California San Jose TT, experience our great South Bay roads, ride with friends and make some new ones. All are riding as individuals and are responsible for their own safety and coverage in the event of an accident. All road riding is inherently dangerous.
