Hey folks, good news.
 
I've had a couple of meetings with Ethan Turpin, the video producer behind my video at http://portablecontext.org. He's agreed to help with our Kickstarter project and has recruited another phenomenal video artist, Jon Smith.  I've known both of these guys for a number of years and will vouch for both their talent and their ability to execute.  They'll help with the fundraising video and then work with us on an introductory piece to explain how any company and any individual can use the Standard Information Sharing Label to make the web more awesome. =)
 
I've invited them both to join our call this Tuesday so they can introduce themselves and participate in script development.  I'll have a draft of that script on the Google Doc later today and I'll be refining it through the weekend.  I've shared the current outline with them both and had a chance to give an impromptu improv reading of it last night with Ethan.
 
Also, the timing turns out to be better to do things sooner; meeting the goal of being live by the UK looks to be well aligned with their availability. So let's get rockin' and move this thing forward!

Ok. The first full draft of Script #4 is up at the Google Doc "New Kickstarter Script". If you don't have access and you'd like to take a look, just drop me an email.
 
I think it's pretty good--especially compared to the previous 3. It's also too long, coming in it at about 7 mins on my first read-through. And I *did* try to cut out a bunch of our outline already. Part of this is from the Nancy Duarte structure, but we still need to pare it down quite a bit.
 
Take a gander and add some comments at the bottom. Suggestions of what we could cut are especially welcome! =)
 
I'll be trimming it as I can this afternoon...

Hi folks.
 
Here's another update on the script. It's down to 3:26. Also, if we can get on a panel at PII, the timing might be quite good to pick up a bit of extra buzz.  If SwitchBook's Information Sharing Trust Framework gets picked as a NSTIC finalist, I'll definitely make a push to see if I can't get on a panel.  And that might bump our timing a bit so we can hit the following events:
 
1. VMR+CRM London (April 24)
2. IIW Mountain View (May 1-3)
3. PII Seattle (May 15-16)
 
 
All of which would make a pretty good foundation for promoting the project.

Ok. The revised script is up.  It's labeled as Version 5 and starts fresh with just the  current narrative.
 
If you'd like an MP3 of a read-through, let me know. I have one I made while revising the script. (I'll send that to Iain, Ethan, and Jon in any case.)
