Student Organizations,
Thank you to everyone that showed up to yesterday's meeting. If you showed up to the meeting but didn't sign in please do so now: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtZj50lMD4B7dDUwV3NHZDhQMjB3X1k0TlpzcUVzY2c. Also, all presidents need to sign into wakesync and join the President's Portal. To do so please click on this link: https://orgsync.com/26349/chapter.
Starting on Sunday I will be sitting down with all student organizations to go through their projected budgets for the 2012-2013 school year. Essentially all organizations have 1 of 2 decisions to make between now and Monday, February 6th by 5 pm. If you don’t sign up for Option 1 or Option 2 by Monday, February 6th by 5pm you will not receive a budget for the 2012-2013 school year.
Option 1: If your organization would like to keep the same budget they had last year please fill out the “SBAC Request to Keep the Same Budget” google form that can be found here:
NOTE:
1.) I will do a thorough check of that organization’s expenses from this year as well as last year to make sure everything looks to be ok.
Option 2: If you would rather go through the SBAC hearing process and would like to run the risk of increasing or decreasing your organization’s budget, you will need to type in your organization’s name in a time slot on this excel spreadsheet by Monday, February 6th at 5pm:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtZj50lMD4B7dFA4X1hLNndFRW1CZ2JwanRfMUk4d3c&authkey=CLiu76kG
NOTE:
1.) SBAC Hearings will take place in Benson 304 (Student Government Office).
2.) Please email me (sbacb...@gmail.com) your itemized budget proposal and a brief summary of your organization’s activities, accomplishments, and goals for the next year a couple hours before the hearing.
3.) Please bring at least 12 printed copies or your organization’s proposed budget and 12 printed copies of your organization’s mission statement/goals for the next school year.
4.) Your President and Treasurer must both be present at this meeting (if for some reason 1 of them can’t make it please have someone else stand in for them).
5.) It is first come first serve on the time slots for these hearings. We will not be adding any more time slots so please sign up for your time slot today.
6.) Don’t be late because these meetings are done in 20 minutes intervals and we don’t want to cut you short.
Just a reminder, this is what we do subsidize:
This is what we don't subsidize:
With all that said, I look forward to working with all of you over the next couple of weeks. Attached are the SBAC handbook and the powerpoint from the presentation I gave yesterday. If you ever have any questions, comments or concerns don’t hesitate to email me.
Thanks,
V.J. Cerniglia
Student Government Treasurer
