Hi,

I have successfully installed etherpad at http://etherpad.wfs-india.org
in my webfaction account. But it has badly blown off memory limits of my
shared account. Etherpad has been taking about 350MB memory just when I
was using it myself.

I have asked webfaction to increase my memory allotment by another 256MB
which would put me off by $7/month. However, if etherpad still doesn't
work within that limit, I'll have to cancel the process. In that case,
hosting etherpad on a VPS might be a better deal. BTW, since the process
is taking about 350MB, it won't help to go for a 512MB VPS.

Best.

Oh I didn't know we could do that :-) I have no issues if everyone else
agree. Btw, Tarashish, did you create the team site?

I didn't know. Also, no one told me in the meeting last night. I
wouldn't have taken the trouble to do a custom install in that case.

Oh, sorry, I fell asleep in middle of the meeting. So I didn't really see the etherpad discussion.

:-P No issues. Who has admin access there? The pad is closed to
registered people only and needs admin approval for each account.

Also, is everybody else comfortable with the etherpad on Mozilla? I'll
remove the installation at http://etherpad.wfs-india.org in that case.

I think Chandankumar has admin access. He added me during the localization workshop, but I'm just a normal user.

Chandan has added Tarashish as admin to the etherpad on Mozilla
(https://wfs-india.etherpad.mozilla.org). Tarashish has in turn added me
as an admin there. I have added Satabdi and Mani as admins.

Satabdi, Mani, please check the etherpad. You should have received
emails already. You will need to signin with Persona. If you think this
meets requirements (which I think it should), we can go with this.

I have kept http://etherpad.wfs-india.org running in case you decide to
go with our custom install. But our install doesn't have access control
like the one on Mozilla. However, on Mozilla, admins will have to grant
access to each user which shouldn't be an issue if we keep the pad
within the team. There is always an option to create a public pad.

Let me know what you think.

Debamitro, Priyanka, please let me know your feedback as well.

Best.

Let's go with Mozilla's servers then. I'll bring down the custom
etherpad instance.

Thanks.
