Dear all,
I have an Oregon WMRS200 at home, which works wonderfully with wfrog. I would like, for someone else, to install wfrog on his computer. He's got a Lacrosse ws2305 (that HAS serial port). His computer (like mine) works on ubuntu.
BUT
he's got a computer with no serial port. So he bought a keyspan adapter (this one:
http://www.tripplite.com/high-speed-usb-to-serial-adapter-keyspan~USA19HS/)
I installed wfrog from svn, then the recommended ws2300 driver. wfrog seems to see ws2300, ubuntu seems to see the keyspan adapter. I changed a bit the wfrog driver (ws23xx.py) to get it to scan the ttyUSB0 port (where the keyspan is recognized).
But wfrog keeps telling me: "AttributeError: 'Linux Serial Port' object has no attribute 'open'"
Has anyone a solution (including telling me which usb to serial adapter might work)?
Best,
Frédéric
