Hi Folks,

Just a quick update on last night's MNAC meeting which Jeff Cook and I attended on your behalf.

Two presentations:  A reintroduction to the City IQ program which has been updated and a report from Chief Cook on the review of Police Department staffing.

I have a printed copy of the Chief's consultant-produced PowerPoint which I will share with any of you.

Summary: at this time, the police force is understaffed and there is a state-wide shortage of qualified candidates as many cities/towns rebuild staffs that were cut during the recession.  Schedule changes and reassignments within the department are being used to mitigate the situation.
