Hi Neighbors,
On your behalf I attended last night's MNAC meeting. There were two
presentations covering items of interest to the whole community:
Maritime Heritage Park upgrades and the ongoing effort to shut down (and
cleanup) the Aloha Motel which has been a source of meth traffic.
Also, the mayor gave an update on the 2014-2015 budget being readied for
presentation to City Council for adoption on December 15th.
Concerns expressed by other neighborhood reps included the prevalence of
deer in populated areas and the continued instances of car prowls in parts of
town.
Of note: we are one of only two neighborhood which have not taken
advantage of the $500 support fund allocations for 2014. To be eligible,
we need a completed 501c3 registration and a full slate of officers.
We should address this in our November 1/4ly meeting.
If you would any additional detail on any of these topics, please contact
me.
