I have a question regarding the scoring (section 14) rules. I noticed
that the fourth sub-section of the scoring rules from the 2002 version
stating that a score was only a score after aknowledgement by the
catcher has been removed from the more recent versions. Does this mean
that it is a score immediately when the disc is caught in the endzone
regadless of what happens afterwards (ie. thrown to someone out of
bounds or to another ofensive player in the endzone and dropped)? If
so, then as soon as the disc is caught in the endzone it is dead, and
it doesn't matter what happens afterwards. I have always played that
an uncompleted or out of bounds pass after a catch in the enzone is a
turnover. HELP

"Does this mean that it is a score immediately when the disc is caught
in the endzone regardless of what happens afterwards"

Yes.
There is no requirement for the player catching the goal to have to
acknowledge that a goal has been scored.
Once a disc is caught in the endzone, it's a goal.
