Good Afternoon

Attached is an additional Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIBs) that pertains to Critical Safety & Transit Rules in the Port of New York on July 4th 2026

This MSIB covers the expected waterway restrictions, safety zones, and general operational guidance needed to ensure the safety and security of the maritime public, event participants, and spectator vessels during the Sail 4th 250 events, the U.S. Navy’s International Naval Review 250 (INR 250) and International Aerial Review (IAR), and Independence Day fireworks displays taking place throughout New York Harbor

The bulletin has been attached to this email. Additionally, the bulletin can be found at this/these links: at Northeast Coast Guard District’s Local Notice to Mariners website https://www.navcen.uscg.gov/local-notices-to-mariners?districtG=1+0&subdistrict=n, under the Special Notices section.

We would like your help in ensuring we reach the widest audience possible before the events kick off.

Please distribute this MSIB down to your operational staffs and pass them along to your communications and social media teams so they can amplify the message across their public-facing channels. Getting this information out early and often is going to be key to a safe and successful celebration on the water.

Thanks in advance for your help and continued partnership.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need further clarification on any of the bulletins.

Very Respectfully

LCDR James Diddell

Head of External Affairs

CG Sector New York Sail 250
