It's the first time I try to connect an ethernet cable to my Dell xps. The cable connects for a few seconds then shows "cable unplugged" although it is not. I tried every solution I found on the internet and it finally stopped disconnecting, BUT the Realtek USB GbE family controller now says "this device cannot start (code 10)". I accessed device manager, uninstalled and re-installed the drivers, Realtek works now, but the first problem is back: ethernet cable unplugged!
Make sure the Dell chipset has ben installed. The chipset allows the operating system to find and use devices integrated into the mother board. Enter your service tag here then download / install the chipset

The more often you use questionable-looking websites or websites without a credible domain name, the more likely you are to receive some sort of virus or malware in exchange for your download. While it is always a good idea to have some sort of supplemental virus protection in case of an accident or lapse of judgment, Windows Defender can run a basic, quick scan just to see if there are any infected files on your system.
If you downloaded the Realtek Family Controller from the Realtek website and you are still having this issue, there likely might be some updates pending that are crucial to your family controller running the way that it should.
The only work around I have tried is to disable the network controller (required domain admin) then re-enable it. I have also tried to disable Green Ethernet and disable Energy Efficient Ethernet. It also has the latest driver version 10.10.714.2016 dated 7/14/2016
In the past the Realtek GB network cards on Dell computer had problems getting DHCP on startup, rendering the computer with a slow start to connect to the Internet. I would need to put the network card with static Ip addresses to resolve the issue. I would recommend updating the drivers with Dell packaged ones and make sure MS check for Internet url is not blocked.
I desperately need help on this I have many dell optiplex 3010 and after upgrade to windows 10. the internet stop working there is a yellow triangle appear and when I trouble shoot. it state driver might has problem. However when I check in the device manager nothing indicate that there is something wrong with the driver. I have try with the newest driver from realtek but no help
Iam having this annoying issue with Lenovo desktops too , same driver . Whenever internet is down and back again some randomly one windows 10 desktop will keep that yellow triangle , able to browse internet , but outlook keeps disconnected .The only solution is to disable and renable the lan network .
