Not a particularly new idea, but long overdue for re-considering. Competitors have been doing it for a decade, but when sending a Dropbox Transfer link in an email to multiple recipients, it is impossible to tell who has downloaded it, just a number of downloads, which can sometimes even be the same person on multiple devices.

Ironically, and rather uselessly, the only time I have received a Dropbox email notification that says who the person who downloaded it was when I did a test download myself, and it put my name in the text of the email, so it must be possible at some level.

There is of course, a very clunky workaround of creating separate DB Transfers of identical content and sending each individual a separate email with their own specific link (never just CCing them) .....how very dull, lots of work for something that feels like it should be perfectly possible to implement to be automatic based on an email address.

Starting last week when dropbox automatically moved the dropbox location on my mac

I have an IFTTT script that places a file in my dropbox
That file stopped getting downloaded to my local folder - Now it just shows in the folder with cloud & down arrow icon

How do I make those files auto-download locally?

Select All folders under selective sync and nothing is downloaded my folders all have the download icons next to them, is this a bug from moving the location under /users/USER/library/cloudstorage/dropbox ?

You can, in theory, make a directory available offline (Right click on Finder, then "Make available offline"); however, that does not seem to work with new files created remotely (note: changes to existing files will on the other hand get sync'd just fine). If your IFTTT script does _not_ create new files that frequently, then this workaround might be able to help new files frequently; otherwise, we will have to wait to hear back from the community (in the meanwhile, I have opened a support ticket asking the exact same question).

I updated to Ventura (13.4), downloaded the newest Dropbox version (175.4.5569), and now ALL my files have the cloud with the download arrow pointing down. Somehow, all my files that were both local and in the dropbox cloud are now only in the cloud. I have a large HD, and I wish many (1000s) of my files to be available offline. The ONLY way I can get a file to downlown to my computer, is if I individually open it. I can't, for example, click the download cloud icon on a folder and have Dropbox then download all the files in the folder. This is a real pain. Is there a way I can go back to the earlier version? Really can't believe all the time I have had to put into this. I never, ever would have "upgraded" to the new Dropbox version if I knew this would happen to me.

Thanks for your question. I have to "right click" each file, chose make available online, in order to get my files back on my HD--and often I have to go through this process more than once. Perhaps my Dropbox simply can't keep up. It's a long, painful process--working sometimes, and not at other times.

Right now, my new hassle is with my apple music (formerly known as iTunes). I have purchased 1000s of songs, organized in playlists. Ever since I "upgraded" the dropbox version, I have not been able to open and use the mac music app on my laptop. Usually, when I open it the beachball just spins. Sometimes, it tells me to choose a different library (which I have tried). But sometimes, it works--for a few minutes. When it cuts off, I look at the the music libraries, and for some reason, dropbox's cloud icon appears. I say "appears," because minutes earlier it was not there. I suspect that Dropbox keeps modifying the library, and that is mucking things up. Any suggestions?

Upgraded on prem Jamf to the current version (10.22.1).
Prior to the upgrade we were experiencing DP problems not only with large downloads but small as well. I repackaged Office and the new file name did not have spaces and that helped for a while.

I'm also facing the same issue, on Jamf cloud the packages are not getting downloaded from DP and the same is working on Jamf Pro on-prem (Packages are getting downloaded from DP). Should I configure anything else on Jamf Cloud?. I'm using the same DP for both Jamf Cloud and Jamf Pro On-Prem.

We're not on cloud (yet), so I'm grasping on straws a bit.

We've seen the "not available on the HTTP server" when a download is interrupted, but the interruption does not exceed the resumable download threshold of 300 seconds.

We've seen the "was not successfully downloaded" error when the threshold is exceeded. Jamf has the threshold, to prevent a policy from preventing other policies from running.

Might open a ticket with Jamf?

We used a Distribution point in AWS using an s3 bucket. This started to occur after a certain point in time. However, I realized that there was an AWS resource that kept deleting stuff in our S3 bucket after a day or so. This resource was actually a test SQL database we had cloned.

Once we removed the duplicate AWS database, those errors went away. - Probably a specific issue to my company but listing here incase.

Hey, having issues with this myself, renewed the cert on my old mac mini running server 5, not sure it's right, but the dates updated when i visit the page manually. Is there a different cert I need to touch?

I have Pandora Premium and downloaded a playlist to listen to offline. I keep having issues with the downloaded playlist being "undownloaded" and not available for offline use. I know I can go back and re-download but I have 900 songs on my playlist and it takes a while. Any ideas as to why a downloaded playlist suddenly isn't downloaded anymore? This has happened to me multiple times and it's very frustrating!

Nope, the last time I was signed out of the app was when I upgraded to my new phone (around early October) and I listen to Pandora almost every day and play multiple stations (online) on both phone and my laptop.

Is it possible that this might be occurring because there is not enough storage on your device? Pandora will never use the last 500MB of storage, so we will only download as much content as we can before we hit that limit.

We have received multiple reports about My Thumbs Up playlists being removed (but not by the user). For example, we have this existing community thread: My Thumbs Up Playlist Deleted but Not By Me - however, your issue sounds a bit different.

Just a little background on our Offline Mode, when a user is signed out, the app will remove all their downloads, once signing back in, Pandora Premium and Premium Family listeners may need to re-download some of their offline content.

I've enabled a trace on your account so that we can take a closer look at what's going on. In addition, we have an internal ticket with our engineers about this specific issue (listeners randomly signed out) and I would like to report this to them.

I have iPhone 11 pro, I never log out of Pandora -at least not on my own. As I stated, a couple months ago was the last time this happened. I now leave my iPhone in "off-line" mode as I live in a rural area with sketchy cell coverage. I have many playlists downloaded and it has happened to all of them all at once or sometimes just my 2800+ song "Thumbs Up" list and a couple others.

It's important to re-establish a connection with Pandora via a Wi-Fi or mobile network every 30 days so we can re-authorize access. This connection will also help us update your stations and record your thumb feedback to improve them. If you remain in Offline Mode for 30 days or more your offline stations will be removed automatically.
