At about 52 inches a year, Miami-Dade County receives among the
highest amounts of rain in the country. And you can put some of that
rainwater to good, environmentally-sound use!

Storing rainwater in a rain barrel, then using it later to water your
lawn and plants, can save thousands of gallons of water a year! After
all, outdoor water use makes up about half of a total household's
water consumption.

Check out the next rain barrel lecture and workshop, hosted by the
Miami-Dade County Cooperative Extension, on Saturday, May 2.

Registration ends Wednesday, Apr. 29.
