"The missing person First Information Report can be closed after the person is reunited with the family. Till fhen the pending First Information Report of missing person need not be clubbed with other pending First Information Reports as a pendency, as tracing the family and reuniting the person with the family depends upon the type and severity of the mental Illness, its response to treAtment, the recovery made, the abilities regained and the efforts made by the Department of Health and Family welfare and the Department for Welfare of the Differently Abled persons. Interdepartmental coordination is essential to provide care and protect the rights of the homeless persons with mental iliness."
