Hi everyone,
All this while in the interests of information reaching people, this forum has been open for all to post - whether members or not. This meant emails from people who haven't signed up here has still reached you via a moderator. Many long-suffering people in this forum have moderator rights - and therefore get additional administrative mail to process.
This forum was started as a neutral space where information was not restricted and everyone was welcome - no questions asked. As far as possible it is not identified with any person, organisation or point of view. It may not yet be "owned" by everyone, but that was the intent with many having moderator rights.
Of late I have noticed, too much spam - for every legitimate message for the group (whether from member or not) there is at least 100+ spam to process and delete. This is too tiresome to sustain so I am switching settings back to posting by members only. Messages from non-members will simply bounce back to the sender without reaching moderation at all.
It's been long enough for people to figure out whether their information reaching this forum is of use to them or not.
