Dear All,

We write to invite you to the inaugural launch of Purple Sabha: Status of Disability in Parliament 2025, India's first parliamentary accountability report on disability.

Date:  23rd March 2026
Venue: India International Centre, New Delhi – 110 003
Time:  5:30 PM onwards

The Purple Sabha is a comprehensive, data-driven audit of India's Parliament's engagement with disability rights and policy across all three sessions of 2025, tracking who asked, what was asked, which states were represented, which themes dominated, and where the silences lie. It is not a welfare assessment. It is a performance audit of a democratic institution against the obligations it has assumed under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the CRPD.

Produced by the Politics and Disability Forum in partnership with the NLIU Centre for Parliamentary Studies, National Law Institute University, Bhopal, and with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India as event partner.
