Legendary carnatic classical exponent Mahamahopadhyaya Dr. Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana Jee passed away today at the age of 89. He had been great musicologist, erudite scholar, outstanding teacher, performer of universal appeal, and author of some of the most valuable and enriching works on music. For his unmatched contribution to the world of Indian classical music, he had received many awards including Padma Bhushan, Sangeet Natak Akademi award and many more.
