1. “The Persuaders” surprised me because I thought the film focused
only how advertising is displayed to the public. One thing that I
learned from “The Persuaders” is that advertising has a psychological
meaning because we link ourselves to things that are human. For
example, in an advertisement if we can see a connection between father
and daughter then we tend to think that is me. I learned about myself
from watching the film is that emotions are tied to advertising to
appeal to the people.

2. What provides me with a sense of identity is that I make choices of
the kind of food I can eat. For example, when I go to food court I
can choose between McDonalds or Taco Bell. Depending on the type of
craving I will have, I will go to that restaurant. I am interested in
going to church every Sunday to sing and hear preached word from the
pastor. In addition, I enjoy going to school and socializing with
classmates on design projects and working on assignments. Marketing
play a role in choosing the type of restaurant, and shoes I wear. For
example, marketing is targeted to group of people like family or
friends and to product such as Nikey. Adults can wear Nikey running
on track we are apt to think that we can be athletic.

3. When we merge our once separate roles as consumers and citizens
means that consumers are buyers and citizens is the one who sees
advertising on TV and streets. Citizens can be consumers once they
show interest in advertisement being advertised the person will be a
consumer. Shopping is patriotic because we as a consumer we need to
buy clothes, shoes, and cell phones. If we cannot fit our clothes and
need a pair of pants we will have to purchase another pair.
