Hi folks,

The soccer goal we currently have is extremely cumbersome with a
long setup time for each game we play. Several of our members have
expressed their willingness to acquire a new goal.

I found on amazon.com this pair:
http://www.amazon.com/Champro-Pop-up-Portable-Soccer-Goals/dp/B003N0JYAG/.
Each of us needs only pay $5 for this portable goal, which is big
enough even for a full-court game. Let me know how you guys think. We
may seek alternatives if cheaper or better goals exist.

Best,
Sam

4x6 is a lot smaller than what we have now.

Really? I thought the one we have is either 6x4 or 7x5

I think ours is 8x6.

No - ours is perhaps ~6x3.

I'm 6 feet tall, and I'm pretty sure I'm taller than our goal.

My concern would be that we can't stake this to the artificial turf and in the rare event we actually score a goal it will go flying...

No way! I am 6'1" and I always hang my arms on the goal for a rest...

I thought about this problem too until I found this goal. Here is a
review from a customer. I think the goal could be quite stably stuck
to the ground.

"1) They are the perfect size 4 x 6.
2) They have metal rods on the sides which means the wind does not
blow them over like the Agora goals I had previously.
3) They come with attached rods that dig into the ground which prevent
the goal from moving after a hard strike or heavy wind. "

For grass it would be fine, not sure it is a good idea to stake it into the artificial turf.

The goal itself is only about 5 lbs, so w/o a holder fixing it to the ground, that will be a problem. I guess it is a trade-off we have to face between portability and function.

We can split the goals into two bags and each time two people will
take the goals, one for each. That way it would be a lot lighter for
one person.
