Are you sure it is DVI-D? If so, then you have no analog output pins
and will need a lot more than an adaptor to drive a VGA projector.

I bet the playskool digital camera (like $19.95 or something) has a
tv-out. You can just make your slides out of collage + whiteboarding
and photograph it... then bring that to hook to the projector.
