town meeting

The meeting went well last night. There was lots of discussion re: the
construction at I-10 and traffic congestion. The DOT is interested in
any input and they are working VERY hard to get the kinks out of the
traffic flow. You can call them any time with concerns. Mr Bill Joyce
with the COJ ( can't remember his title) is going to be sending me
information on putting "speed humps" down Chaffee. They are broader
than a speed bump and not as jarring but it slows traffic down to about
25 to 35 mph. If we can't stop the road construction, we must work on
making the 'shortcut' to I-10 as unpleasant as possible for the trucking
traffic. I will share this information out as soon as I get it. The
next meeting will be in January. I will be working with Daniel Davis'
office and the Library to set up a date. Enjoy the Holidays and I hope
