Jacksonville Area Florida Department of Transportation Lane Closings

November 6 through November 12

 

I-10/I-95 interchange reconstruction project

Lanes and ramps will be closed nightly at various locations within the project limits from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday, November 8 through Friday, November 12.  Detour signs will be posted. All work on this project should be finished by late 2010.

 

I-10 resurfacing and widening project between Lane Avenue and Halsema Road

 I-10 westbound between I-295 and the Chaffee Road exit WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED nightly between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday, November 7 and Monday, November 8. The ramp from I-295 westbound to I-10 westbound and the on-ramp to I-10 westbound from Marietta WILL BOTH BE TOTALLY CLOSED nightly between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday, November 7 and Monday, November 8. Detour signs will be posted.

Single lanes on I-10 may be closed from Sunday, November 7 through Thursday, November 11 at various locations within the project limits between 6:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. eastbound and from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. westbound.  This project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2012.

 

I-10 pavement improvement project between Stockton Street and Lane Avenue

Lanes and various ramps within the project limits will be closed nightly between 6:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. from Sunday, November 7 through Thursday, November 11.  This project is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2012.

 

I-295 at Wilson Boulevard

Various lanes will be closed in both directions nightly between 8:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Monday, November 8 through Wednesday, November 10 for routine bridge maintenance.

 

I-295 at Old Middleburg Road

One northbound lane will be closed on Wednesday, November 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a routine bridge inspection.  

 

I-295 about one-half mile north of U.S. 17/Roosevelt Boulevard

Various northbound lanes will be closed on Wednesday, November 10 from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. for routine bridge maintenance.

 

I-95 landscaping and drainage project between Lem Turner Road and Heckscher Drive

Single lanes on the I-95 southbound off ramp to Lem Turner Road, the I-95 northbound on ramp to Lem Turner Road and I-95 northbound on ramp to Edgewood Avenue will be closed at various times daily between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from Monday, November 8 through Friday, November 12. This project should be completed next spring.   

I-95 southbound off ramp to I-295 southbound (near the Jacksonville International Airport)

The ramp WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED nightly between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Sunday, November 7 through Wednesday, November 10 for roadway maintenance. Detour signs will be posted.

 

I-295 southbound off ramp to I-95 southbound (near the Jacksonville International Airport)

The ramp WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED nightly between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Sunday, November 14 through Tuesday, November 16 for roadway maintenance. Detour signs will be posted.   

 

Hart Bridge repainting and structural repair project

Full bridge closings will occur Monday through Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and on weekends from 6 a.m. on Saturday until 6 a.m. on Monday. (There will be no lane or bridge closings during the hours of the Greater Jacksonville Fair.)  Northbound lane closings can occur between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., and southbound lane closings can occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. This work should be finished in early 2011.

 

Emerson Street railroad crossing just west of Philips Highway

The railroad crossing WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED from 7 a.m. on Sunday, November 14 until approximately 5 a.m. on Thursday, November 18. The railroad crossing will be rebuilt, and detour signs will be posted.   

 

Atlantic Boulevard near Mayfair Road

One eastbound lane will be closed daily between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through Wednesday, November 10 for roadway maintenance.

 

Beach Boulevard widening project between Hodges Boulevard and San Pablo Road

There will be possible continuous closures next week of right turn lanes at the intersections of Beach Boulevard and Hodges Boulevard and Beach Boulevard at San Pablo Road. Right turns will still be allowed, but delays could occur. This project should be finished in the summer of 2011.

 

Atlantic Boulevard at Southside Boulevard

Single westbound lane closings may occur daily (Monday through Friday) between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. through Friday, November 12 for constructing a driveway and turn lane.   

 

J. Turner Butler Boulevard between Philips Highway and S.R. A1A

Single lanes will be closed in both directions at various locations between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Sunday, November 7 through Friday, November 12 and from Monday, November 14 through Friday, November 19 for roadway maintenance.

 

Baymeadows Road at Princeton Square Boulevard

Single eastbound lanes will be closed daily between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from Monday, November 8 through Wednesday, November 10 for utility work.

 

Edgewood Avenue at the railroad crossing north of Old Kings Road

One northbound lane will be closed on Saturday, November 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for routine bridge maintenance.

 

Beaver Street at the railroad crossing adjacent to the farmers market near Stockton Street

One eastbound lane will be closed on Sunday, November 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a routine bridge inspection.

 

Roosevelt Boulevard north of Belvedere Avenue

One northbound lane will be closed on Tuesday, November 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for routine sign maintenance.

 

Sisters Creek bridge maintenance project on Heckscher Drive

Single lanes will be closed on Thursday, November 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Two-way traffic will be controlled with flaggers. The work should be finished this fall.

 

Ortega River Bridge on S.R 211 rehabilitation project

Lanes will be closed daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday, November 8 through Friday, November 12. This project will be finished in the fall of 2011.

 

103rd Street at Old Middleburg Road

Single lanes will be closed in both directions daily (Monday through Friday) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through Friday, November 19 for roadway maintenance.

 

Blanding Boulevard near Parkwood Drive

Single northbound lanes may be closed daily (Monday through Friday) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through Friday, November 12 for roadway maintenance.

 

S.R. 23 (Cecil Commerce Center Parkway) from I-10 to Middleburg (Clay County)

Single lanes will be closed in both directions nightly at various locations from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sunday, November 7 through Friday, November 12 and from Sunday, November 14 through Friday, November 19 for roadway maintenance.

 

C.R. 209 bridge replacement project over Black Creek (Clay County)

Lane closings cannot occur between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Lanes will be closed at various times of the day, and two-way traffic will be maintained using flaggers. This project should be finished in the fall of 2011.

 

S.R. 21 widening project between Old Jennings Road and Knight Boxx Road (Clay County)

No lane closings are scheduled for next week. This project is scheduled to be finished in the spring of 2011.

 

 S.R. 23 overpass construction at Plantation Oaks Boulevard (Clay County)

No lane closings are scheduled for next week. Two-way traffic will be maintained using flaggers. The project should finish in November.  

 

S.R. 16 resurfacing between the Shands Bridge and U.S. 17 (Clay County)

One lane will be closed nightly in both directions between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday through Thursday. This project will be finished in late 2010.

 

C.R. 215 resurfacing from Blanding Boulevard to Chicory/Juniper Avenue (Clay County)

One lane may be closed daily (Monday through Friday). This project will be finished in the spring 2011.

 

S.R. 21 about one-half mile south of C.R. 215 (Clay County)

Various lanes will be closed daily between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, November 8 through Wednesday, November 10 for routine bridge maintenance. Two-way traffic will be maintained using flaggers.

 

 

 

U.S. 1 near S.R. 200 (Nassau County)

One northbound lane may be closed daily next week (Monday through Friday) between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for driveway construction.

 

S.R. 200 widening between Griffin Road and Stratton Road (Nassau County)

Single lanes may be closed daily in both directions between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at various locations within the project limits from Monday, November 8 through Thursday, November 11. This project should be finished next summer.

 

U.S. 301 resurfacing from the Duval County line to Pickett Road in Callahan (Nassau County)

Single northbound lanes will be closed at various locations between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday, November 8 through Friday, November 12.  This project will be finished next spring.  

 

S.R. A1A traffic signal improvement project from C.R. 107 to Centre Street (Nassau County)

Intermittent lane closings may occur at various locations within the project limits from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday). This project will be finished in early 2011.

 

S.R. A1A resurfacing from the Nassau Sound Bridge to Atlantic Avenue (Nassau County)

Single lanes will be closed daily (Monday through Friday) next week between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. for paving operations. Two-way traffic will be maintained using flaggers. The project should be finished in the fall of 2011.
