Fellow members,
I enjoy watching the exchange and sequences in history and the interpretations on both sides. As you can probably gather, I am naturally, on the side of fellow citizens.
Since we are concerned about time; I am appealing to each of you on the following aspects.
Councilman Daniel Davis is unavailable for our meeting this Thursday. The dates offered by his secretary are: 9/1, 9/7 & 9/8 respectively. Our meeting was scheduled for 9/2 and already reserved at the library.
I also spoke directly with Mr. J.B. Coxwell the contractor on one matter (the road connecting Pritchard/Chafee). Mr. Coxwell offered the opportunity to be in our midst and address each and every question as he understands these issues and matters of concern. I believe that based upon the fact that Mr. Coxwell has been a life-long resident of our community and coupled to the fact that he too has been integrally involved in the evolution of these matters we address: his gracious offer to address our body directly and answer any questions we have as he is able would greatly aid in understanding these issues.
I am absolutely convinced that there is a direct disconnect between the citizens of the Westside and their government despite each and every good intention. I perceive that some of the reply’s offered are coupled into the existing governmental culture and mere interpretations of aspects that are so astutely presented by our members.
We have several options but would recommend the following approach:
1. Keep our originally scheduled upcoming meeting on the 2nd and have MR. Coxwell speak to us (as Mr. Coxwell is Mr. Greene’s employer).
2. Each one of us directly contact each one of us and schedule a follow-up meeting with the councilman again for 9/8
Once these two aspects are addressed, we can then meet to determine what if any actions remain on our part.
Please respond with aye or nay immediately upon receipt so that we can move forward with this role call. If there are any questions, do not hesitate to contact me straightway.
Look forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
Best regards,
Alex Szabo

I vote to move the meeting to a date that Davis is available. Coxwell and Greene only have an interest in this project at the contractors. There is nothing to be gained by talking to them. We need to have the dialogue with the city.
