WESTPA Data Club

I want to remind everyone about the availability of the WESTPA ‘data club’.  The data club is a virtual forum where you can get feedback at any stage of a WE project from Lillian Chong, myself, and members of our groups who are experienced with WE.

Presenters must obtain permission from their PIs, and we urge PIs to attend.  Besides the presenter and members of their group, only Drs. Chong, Zuckerman and members of their groups will be in attendance.

This is a ‘no strings attached’ offer.  There is no expectation for co-authorship for any participants.  Our interest is to see the best science done by WESTPA to keep our community strong.  The meetings will be 1:30 ET on 3rd Weds of the month, although alternative times may be possible.  Please contact me or Lillian if you are interested.

Sunhwan, we'd be happy to set something up for you.  As a reminder, the data club is only scheduled at the request of a WESTPA user to discuss their particular situation, in order mainting project privacy.  It is not a community-wide event.

Please write directly to Prof. Chong and myself (ltc...@pitt.edu, zuck...@ohsu.edu, not to this google list), copy your PI, say a few words about your project, and note any scheduling preferences.  As a default, we can aim for Weds 1pm or 2pm Eastern time - let us know dates that work for you.  We will find a definite time from there.  --Dan Zuckerman
