Weston Climate Group,

In the next couple of days, Weston residents will be receiving a letter in the mail about our brand new Clean Heat campaign. Reading it, you will see that the Weston Climate Group is teaming up with Next Step Living and the Massachusetts Chapter of the Sierra Club to promote awareness of home heating and cooling options that don’t rely on fossil fuels.

We have several info sessions and activities planned over the coming weeks to make sure that people have a chance to find out more and get their questions answered. Here is the current schedule:

• May 13 – Home Heating System Options Workshop, Weston Library, 7 p.m.
• May 17 – Information table in Weston center (near Bruegger’s), 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• May 22 – Future of Energy Panel Discussion, Weston Library, 7 p.m.
• June 7 – Information table at Land’s Sake's Farm Stand Opening Celebration, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• June 19 – Home Heating System Options Workshop, Weston Library, 7 p.m

Along with articles in the Town Crier and postings in Westword, we are also looking into having information available at Dairy Joy, the Transfer Station, and Kendal Green station on specific days, so watch for that as well. If you have other suggestions for places we should set up information tables or post flyers, please let me know.

I hope that you will join us for one or more of these interesting and informative events, or stop by one of the tables. Of course, if you would like to jump right in and schedule a free in-home assessment of your heating and cooling options with Next Step Living, call 866.867.8729 or go to www.nextstepliving.com/westonclimategroup. As part of this no-obligation assessment you can get detailed information about solutions like ductless mini split systems, also known as heat pumps, along with a customized estimate of your energy and financial savings and a discussion of available rebates and incentives. All the facts you’d need to make an informed decision.

We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to reduce fossil fuel use while lowering your heating bill, and that you will support your friends and neighbors doing the same. I hope to see you at one of the upcoming events, but let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

Rudy
