Anyone have a knock on their door from Wellesley Roofers.  They  offer to go up on the roof take photos of hail damage find it , of course.   They make an offer to work with your insurance company.
All you have to pay for a new roof is the deductible.   If anyone has had this done by Wellesley Roofers, let me know.

That sounds a little dubious. And you can't let someone up on your roof without knowing they have workers comp and liability insurance

There are a ton of roof scammers out there now. Beware. My first thought is most good roofing companies are FLAT out with all the work. I wonder why they are knocking on doors to generate business.
This is just what runs through my head.

With the hail damage being what it is, roofing companies have a short window of time to get claims started if they are going to be covered by insurance companies as an act of god, meaning the claim is not reflected in an individuals policy.

Many roofing companies have brought in sales people just to get the work on the books before its too late to get it covered.

If it's a local company with a good reputation, nothing wrong with it.  Hail damage cracks roof tiles, and that leads to large water damage issues (and much larger claims everyone wants to avoid)

J&R Construction is a company I met on a job site, giving me a personal relationship with them.  They worked with my insurance company to get my roof and gutters covered.  These guys do good work and will deal with your insurance company.

Tell him I sent you.

In the next few weeks, I will have a BBQ at my house and invite people over to meet them.

Hi All....I just had repairs on my roof this week by Tyrone Pinkham out of Medway. I highly recommend him due not only to the professional job he provided me but his honesty regarding what repairs I actually needed. It is refreshing to still have contractors that will not rip you off. I thought I may need a new roof but Tyrone was quick to say no and only did what needed to be done.  I will say again...if you want roof repairs at a VERY reasonable price then Tyrone is your man. He can be reached at 508 982 5438.  Paul Kilduff , Special Projects Coordinator. Aflac

Hi All,
Does anyone have experience with GAF vs CertainTeed shingles.  We've received several estimates that we're trying to sort out and one roofer that we're inclined toward uses GAF shingles which I have the impression are not so great.  Also, cobra or plastic ridge vents?
Feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Leslie Wissing
