Important trash day schedule notice:
There is NO holiday pickup delay for Indigenous Peoples' Day. Set your trash, recycling, and yard waste out on your regular trash day the week of this holiday. If you do not, crews cannot return, and the carts will be collected the following week. For more details, click here.
Effective July 1, 2025, there is no longer a trash day delay for Indigenous Peoples’ Day and three other holidays – Veterans Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and President’s Day.
Newton will now delay curbside services only on the following seven holidays: New Year’s Day, Patriot’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. On all other holidays, collection will take place on your regular pickup day.
