Hi Neighbors -

I apologize to those of you for whom bone loss is not a current concern for contributing to the clutter in your mailbox, but so many woman I talk to seem to be diagnosed with bone loss that I want to share with you a workshop that is being held at the amazing new Cooper Center for Active Living in Newtonville. This may be a great excuse for you to visit the new facility if you haven’t already.

The Link Between Diet, Exercise, and Osteoporosis

Tuesday, March 31, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Led by Jane Barr and Daniel Destin

Jane Barr, MPH, LDN will discuss the current dietary recommendations for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, and she’ll provide tips to make sure you are getting what you need to keep your bones healthy and strong. Daniel Destin, exercise physiologist, will provide an interactive exercise session reviewing safe exercises recommended for people with osteoporosis. This program is brought to you by MGB Newton Wellesley Hospital’s Community Collaborative Heart Health and Wellness Council. View flyer here.

Happy to chat with anyone who wants to learn more about this condition and what besides pharmaceuticals you can do to stay healthy.

Ann
