Dear All,

Below is a link to a GoFundMe effort for the family of Martin Marro to help defray the costs associated with his recovery.

Martin is a Newton resident who was injured in the horrific Manhattan bike path attack. He's currently recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

Best,
Adam

Dear Colleagues, I was hoping you could circulate the below through your organizations or to your colleagues.  The outpouring of support from NIBR for Martin Marro and his family has been great and I am trying to keep it going.

Best,

Gerry Waters

Dear Colleagues,

I am sure you are all aware that Martin Marro, our friend and co-worker, was injured in the NYC terrorist attack and lost a number of his good friends.  A “GoFundMe” account has been set up to accept donations to help Martin and his family deal with inevitable expenses they will have while managing through this time (ex. hotel, food in NYC, transportation, babysitters, etc.).  If you would like to contribute click the link below.

Please forward this to others who might like to help out.

Thanks so much,

Hi again,

Councilor Jim Cote has kindly offered to handle any inquiries residents might have about how to help the Marro family or where to send well wishes.  The family has been inundated with well-meaning phone calls and messages, Jim tells me, which is tough to manage when they have a family medical situation on their hands.  So Jim suggested that I add to my message that residents can contact him if they have any questions or messages for the Marro family.

Thanks,
Kathleen

Councilor Cote -- can you advise our listserv  if they family needs help  from neighbors with meals dropped off, groceries,  help raking leaves, babysitting or transporting kids or the like.  Perhaps someone has set up a Lots-of-Helping Hands website or the like you can share?

Thanks

Thank you Daniella, and sorry for the late reply.  As the situation stands right now the family is in good shape and they do not have any needs.  Family has arrived from Argentina and they have the children and house duties.  My wife is close friends and is monitoring the situation and we will let everyone know if anything is needed.
Thank you to all!!!
Jim
