Very informative and well worth doing if you have Wednesday evenings free. (I mostly don't due to city meetings, but I did attend a previous Citizens Police Academy, as it was then called, 30-something years ago.) And it's easy to get to if you live in West Newton.

The Newton Police Department will be hosting a "Community Police Academy" this fall at NPD HQ 1321 Washington St. Classes will take place on Wednesday evenings from 06:00-08:30 PM in the Community Room and the NPD training room. The first class will take place on Oct. 1st.

A copy of the flyer is attached. We hope members of our community will take this opportunity to get to know our officers and learn about policing in Newton!
