Wellington Park Wake-Up *THIS SUNDAY* Volunteers needed!

Greetings Friends and Neighbors!

This Sunday is NEWTONSERVES, a city-wide day of "Community Building Through Service”. We will be holding our 3rd Wellington Park Wake-Up of the season from 1:00 - 4:00, we hope you will join us! We got a good start on our previous days but there is still more to do, including laying down the leaf mulch, and we need volunteers to help us in the home stretch of waking up our park for the season.

Volunteers are needed to weed, mulch, cut back, pull invasives, pick up litter, plant, and more! No gardening experience required, just bring your enthusiasm. If you have tools, gloves, wheelbarrow, rake, etc. please bring them, but we will supply if you don’t.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE - The NewtonServes registration deadline is Wednesday, May 1. Register Here.  If you miss the deadline, you can still let us know you are coming by registering on the Wellington Park Garden Signup page, it is helpful for us to know who is coming. But you can come even if you don’t register in advance.

If you can’t make any of those times, CLICK HERE to let us know when you are available, we’re often gardening at other times too.

KIDS ACTIVITY - At 2:00 we will be making “Bee House Bundles” - stuffing old stems into toilet paper and paper towel tubes to create nesting homes for cavity nesting bees and other insects. If you have tubes to bring, or kids (5-11 ish) who might be interested, please bring them to share in the fun.
