Newton Porchfest Needs Helpers

Love the neighborhood? Love live music? Love community events?

Then join the planning committee for Newton PorchFest for 2026! I've been on the committee for many years now and have taken great joy and pride in helping put on this amazing event.

We're looking for new members to keep the event going strong.

The committee is a group of 5-10 people that make the event happen. The committee meets virtually once a month for about 45 minutes (more often as we get closer to the first Saturday in June when the event happens). Members of the committee distribute materials, publicize the event, create the performance schedule, ask for donations from local businesses, monitor our email and socials, and so on. We have a playbook for how to run the event based on many years of experience, so it runs very smoothly as a committee member.
