Hello Wellington Park Community,

Thanks to all who attended the Fifth Annual Monarch Festival held on 9/13! It was a beautiful day at Wellington Park, with over 200 children and adults enjoying monarch-themed activities and learning about nature and conservation. Special thanks to FoWP board members Ted Kuklinski and Mark Feldhusen, along with many other volunteers from co-sponsoring organizations across Newton, for helping make the Monarch Festival a huge success.

Now we move on to another exciting event...Wellington Parkfest! This annual event will be held on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5th from 12-3pm (rain date Sunday, October 26th) at Wellington Park. We'll have all the usual fun including live music, a magic show, pumpkin decorating, face painting, free food, the Wellington Olympiad kids' race, and more! This event is organized by FoWP with gratitude to our sponsors The Village Bank and James A. Ryan Insurance Agency.

To make Parkfest a success, we need VOLUNTEERS to help with tasks such as set-up, food prep, and clean-up and DONORS to contribute money, packaged snacks, or drinks. We've had a few people sign up already (thank you!), but we still need a lot more help!
