need estimates for heat pump and replacing water pipe to street

Hi all,

 

Our AC compressor died and I  need some estimates.  We have a Unico system and that may need to be replaced with the new compressor.  Looking into a heat pump too and would like that bid.

 

I also need to replace my water line to the street.  Any recommendations for a contractor?

i've yet to commit to it, but forge or elephant energy impressed us with their quotes and estimate process.

For heat pumps, we used NETR and were very happy. 

In comparison shopping companies for heat pumps, we discovered that the cleverness of the designer (who suggests which way the piping should go through your house) was an important factor.  Some designers advised routes that would be ugly or circuitous but easy for them to install. The NETR guy routed them in ingenious, unobtrusive ways (through closets etc).  Not sure if that differs by company or the individual , but it's something to be alert to, especially if you have a quirky house.
