Hi kids and neighbors,we need your help tomorrow at the Wedge Garden to paint the vegetable beds. We received 17 bright colors from Sherwin Williams back in January and we have been waiting for a nice summer day. Tomorrow is the day!
Stop by anytime between 1 – 3 to help us paint wood, paint sea shells for the butterfly garden and plant herbs. Yesterday we picked up some of the remaining herbs like dandelion, pineapple sage, holy basil, fennel, catnip, tarragon and a few others.
Food will be donated by Zaky’s Mediterranean. Come hungry. We’ll have hummus, pita, babaganoush, stuffed grape leaves and tabbouleh salad.
Don’t forget to wear your dirty clothes. The colors we have are pretty bright. If you have any folding chairs, bring them with you. We’re still working on getting another picnic table.
While you are there you can help us harvest the lettuce. We received lettuce seedlings from Well Fed Community Garden early in the season and it’s ready to be harvested. We want to share the lettuce with you.
Please forward this email to Pullen Park Neighborhood, West Morgan, Boylan Heights and anyone else you would like to invite.
