Rock'n'Roll Marathon April 1 and 2 may affect your travel

Friends and neighbors,

Road closures for the Rock'n'Roll Marathon events of Sat. Apr. 1 and Sun. Apr. 2 may affect your travel.  The course map for the marathon and half marathon on Sunday shows effects on a number of roads (Avent Ferry, Clark Avenue, Hillsborough St., Western Blvd. etc.) in the downtown area and vicinity of NCSU campus.  The map can be viewed here:

Access routes and "meter points" (where officers will allow vehicles to cross the route when there's a break in the runners) are shown here:

It does look like there will be ways for a vehicle to cross the route but delays can be expected.
