Referencecodes may change during the transfer of data from ARGUS to invenio. Therefore, some of the reference codes found in ARGUS cannot be reserved or requested through invenio. If you would like to use archive material with such reference codes in a reading room, please request this via email or in the reading room in Berlin-Lichterfelde.

After making changes to the models of a module, we need to create a new alembic revision so we are able to apply these changes in the DB during a migration. Firstly, to make sure that the DB is up to date we apply any pending revisions with:

A short message describing the changes is required and the path parameter should point to the alembic directory of the module. If the path is not given the new revision will be placed in the invenio_db/alembic directory and should be moved.

in this list, revisions will be labeled as (head) or (effective head). The difference being that effective heads are not shown in the alembic_version table in your database. As they are dependencies of other branches, they will be overwritten. alembic_version is a table created by alembic to keep the current revision state.

The test for the created revisions starts from an empty DB, upgrades to the last branch revision and then downgrades to the base. We can check that there are no discrepancies in the state of the DB between the revisions and the models, by asserting that alembic.compare_metadata() returns an empty list. An example can be found here: test_app.py#L130

Invenio Imaging announced today that it has obtained the CE Mark for the NIO Laser Imaging System according to the In Vitro Diagnostic Directive (IVDD). This enables commercialization of this novel imaging system for intraoperative histology in the European market.

The NIO Laser Imaging System uses Stimulated Raman Histology to image fresh, unprocessed tissue specimens without sectioning or staining, enabling histologic evaluation without need for a laboratory. The sample is mounted in a custom, easy-to-use NIO Slide and can be retrieved for downstream analysis with traditional and advanced genomic methods. NIO images are natively digital and can be shared instantly for review by pathology using existing hospital IT infrastructure. This allows streamlining intraoperative pathology consultations, enabling surgeons to make accurate surgical decisions based on histology.

Invenio Imaging, based in Santa Clara, CA has developed and manufactures the NIO Laser Imaging System. The NIO is designed to streamline intraoperative histology, reducing downtime in the OR and allowing examination of specimens from multiple sites in the surgical cavity. It has been used in over 1800 cases and is currently installed in sites across the United States. Invenio recently received a Medical Design Excellence Award and was selected to be a Rosenman Innovator. www.invenio-imaging.com
